"I feel extremely fortunate for having done my yoga teacher training with Strength and Soul Yoga...Sapna provided a safe and empowering environment to explore and deepen my own practice and equipped me with the tools to help others do the same. Taking yoga teacher training was a life-changing experience." - Becky, Strength & Soul YTT graduate.
Strength & Soul Yoga teacher trainings are approved by the Yoga Alliance. Strength and Soul Yoga teacher training was created by Sapna Pathak-Young in 2015. Her program is approved by the Yoga Alliance, and allows students the opportunity to register with the Yoga Alliance upon completion. As an established 200-RYS, Strength and Soul Yoga has seen several practitioners take their personal and professional yoga journeys into the next chapter.
Each training is cultivated with attention to detail and designed to let students explore their personal yoga practice, while setting their foundation to deliver safe and well-rounded yoga classes to a variety of populations. Our trainings focus on alignment principles, anatomy and deep understanding of pranayama. A study of Patanjali's Yoga Sutras provides the backdrop of their journey into yoga philosophy. Sapna prides herself on being flexible and understanding life happens: her trainings and tuition plans are designed to do the same.
Other topics include, but are not limited to, Teaching Methodology, Yoga Ethics and Yoga Philosophy, Theory and Practice of Teaching, Pranayama, Chakras and Body Systems, Asana and Adjustments, for a total of 200 contact hours. In her training, Sapna strives to provide her trainees with the proper tools and knowledge to find their voices and allow them to create the backdrop as future instructors.
